Profanations & Incendies : 5 ans de confrontations avec une réalité inquiétante Résumé (en anglais) Over the past five years, France has experienced a surge in anti-Christian hate crimes—approximately 2,444 incidents were recorded in Europe in 2023 alone, with around 1,000 in France. Of these, acts of vandalism accounted for 62%, arson for 10%, and physical violence for 7%. Arson attempts on churches rose by over 30% in 2024 compared to the previous year, with nearly 50 recorded. Historically, France saw 877 attacks on Catholic worship places in just 2018. Since the turn of the century, over 2,666 break-ins occurred across 69 dioceses.
